This jumpsuit is as comfortable as the quilt is exquisitely beautiful! I made this from a vintage quilt most likely made in the 30s or 40s. The quilt itself was generally in good condition for its vintage. However, there were several places where seams were coming undone, and somewhere the fabric had become threadbare. I spent a good deal of time repairing the seams and repairing a bit of the threadbare places, but if you are to purchase this piece, please know that the wear in the quilt is part of its beauty! Aligned at the neck and armholes with vintage denim,

I also added vintage denim pockets to make this piece quite versatile! I have made one for myself from a similar quilt and it is my new best friend lol! I wear it at home, to artisan markets, to the grocery store, even to sleep! Due to the age and where of this piece, I would suggest spot cleaning only. You certainly could put it in the washing machine and even the dryer, but the result will be a much more distressed jumpsuit :-)
